Dear BuWizz fans,
We are glad to inform you that we added Gamepad support to BuWizz App.
Current app version supports:
– Sony DualSense controller
– Xbox Wireless Controller (tested on latest model 1914, released in 2020)
Both Sony DualSense controller and Xbox Wireless Controller can be connected to your device via Bluetooth or USB-C cable. The USB-C connection is preferred where smallest possible lag between input and model reaction is desired.
Sony DualSense controller is supported on devices running Android 9 or newer.
Xbox Wireless Controller is supported on devices running Android 12 or newer. Support for older Android versions will be added in next release.
All iOS and IPadOS devices are supported.
A device with USB-C is needed for cable connection to gamepad controller, of course.
Beta versions of App are available on Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS, iPadOS).

Will the pad pair directy with the Controller or is the Smartphone always required when driving? Is there any physical Controller available?
Yes, you will need a phone to connect to the gamepad. There is no physical controller available.
Great job, but can you add support for a custom bluetooth gamepads like 8BitDo and for handheld Android consoles like Retroid Pocket 3+ and AYN Odin 2?
Handheld consoles are perfect to control any Lego’s vehicles powered by BuWizz.
Sorry, but we can’t support all the BT gadgets. We focused on the most used ones.
How connect with the pad?
You connect your phone to the Gamepad via Bluetooth or Cable.
Can you explain how to connect the game pad. After installing the app I can’t see any settings.

When will this be part of the official app?
Yes.
Hey. Hey,
first of all great job, a new dimension for Lego 😉
I’m currently considering buying a set for the Audi e-tron. But at the same time I discovered the possibility to control the model via the controller from the PS4 console. Another great dimension.
My question to you is if you are planning support for the Sony dualshock 4 v2 controller as well. If so, in what timeframe?
Thank you in advance for the answer.
Fingers crossed for further developments 🙂
You can use the PS4 controller as well, with limited options.
Are you not going to add options for switching the volts slow, normal, fast… on the buwizz 2.0 battery when controlling via the ps5 gamepad? Well thank you
I have to praise the possibility of setting current limits on buwiz 3.0, it helped a lot in removing the battery disconnection during overcharging, thank you for the great work
